It’s Pirate Family Day at Triad Stage, Saturday, June 14
Free activities for children, and mini-performances of Redbeard’s Revenge

(Greensboro, NC) — It’s fun for the whole family as Triad Stage and UNCG Theatre host Pirate Family Day, a free pirate-themed event for young children and their parents on Saturday, June 14, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in celebration of the THTR 232 productions Redbeard’s Revenge or The School for Pirates and Bloody Blackbeard.

Among the Pirate Family Day activities are face-painting, drum lessons, story-telling, and instruction on how to draw a pirate from local author/illustrator Jim Young. Art Quest will be on hand to help kids make their own pirate hats. Each child will receive an eye patch and can get their picture taken with a pirate. Throughout the event, the cast of UNCG Theatre’s THTR 232 production of Redbeard’s Revenge or The School for Pirates will perform a musical number as a sneak peak of the show opening on June 18. Redbeard’s Revenge or The School for Pirates is suitable for children ages 4 and up. Due to stage violence, parental guidance is recommended for Bloody Blackbeard for children under the age of 13.

Pirate Family Day is at Triad Stage’s Pylre Theater, 232 South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro.
