Auditions

Triad Stage employs a wide variety of actors from the Greensboro, greater North Carolina, and national areas. Our productions use a combination of Actors' Equity Association, non-professional and student actors. Triad Stage employs Equity actors through the Small Professional Theatre contract, operating at both an SPT-4 and SPT-9 level. Equity Membership Candidacy credit is available for eligible actors.

 

2012-2013 Season General Auditions

Triad Stage will be holding general auditions for local talent for our 2012-2013 season. Auditions will be held on October 23 and 24, 2011 between 1:00 and 6:00 pm, by appointment. Both Equity and Non-Equity actors are welcome to audition. Headshots and resumes are welcome but not required. Please prepare two contrasting monologues (serious/comic) of 1-2 minutes each. You are also welcome to sing 16-24 bars of a song a cappella. Auditions will be held at Triad Stage, 232 South Elm Street, downtown Greensboro.

Auditions for "Tiny Tim" in A Christmas Carol

Triad Stage is holding auditions for the role of "Tiny Tim" in its 2011 production of A Christmas Carol. We are looking for one boy, age 6 - 9. Please prepare a brief a cappella song (perhaps a verse or the chorus of "A Christmas Carol", but no longer than 30 seconds), along with reading this preface from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens:              

 “I have endeavored in this Ghostly little book, to raise the Ghost of an idea, which shall not put my readers out of humor with themselves, with each other, with the season, or with me.  May it haunt their houses pleasantly, and no one wish to lay it.”

Dates of rehearsal are November 2 - December 2 (off Thanksgiving Day), with a flexible schedule for school except for certain days November 20 - December 2 and some weekday matinee performances. Performances are November 25 - December 24. No performances on Mondays.

Auditions will be held October 15, 2011 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, by appointment, in the Sloan Rehearsal Hall at Triad Stage. Parents: please bring a list of any potential conflict dates.
